Meet Temi T
So who am I!? On the surface I am an International Spoken Word Artist who has spent the last 6 years performing everywhere from intimate rooms of 30 people, to stages with audiences of more than 6000.
Underneath that, I'm still the young girl born and raised in South-East London, using creativity to make sense of the world and helping others feel a little less alone in theirs.
My writing journey began years ago in the form of journaling, shortly after this, I discovered my first London open mic and read a piece. From then on, my little emotional journal excerpts evolved into spoken word performances, which have now evolved into true live musical poetry experiences.
What My Work Explores
My writing draws directly from my experiences and identity in this world. My identity is an amalgamation of love, work, trauma, villain origin stories and the humour and the beautiful contradictions of life. As a Spoken Word Artist, I focus on creating a safe space for us to feel the full range of emotions that life brings.
Many of the themes I explore on stage continue in my recorded work. You can listen to my spoken word projects on all major streaming platforms.
